SmartDentist is committed to handling all personal information it collects in accordance with privacy legislation.

What personal information do we collect?

The types of personal information that we may collect include:

• Identifying and contact information, such as name, age, employment details, email address and mobile phone number;
• Records of continuous professional development – including number of hours and courses completed (so that you have an online record);
• Record of vaccinations including staff vaccinations necessary under the ADA guidelines;
• The information we collect about you will be provided by you.

Why do we collect your personal information?

We collect personal information about our subscribers and their staff for the benefit of subscribers being able to demonstrate that they have the various infection control documents that they are required to have, that they have completed CPD requirements and that they have the necessary record keeping in relation to staff induction, vaccinations, CPD hours and any other services provided by SmartDentist.

How might we use your personal information?

Generally, we use your personal information to:

• provide our products and services;
• manage our relationship with you;
• advise you of major changes to infection control or other SmartDentist offerings;
• annual subscription billing;
• develop products and services;
• assess your suitability for, and provide you with information about, other products or services that we think may be of interest to you. (This may include our own products and services or the products or services of others). If you do not want to receive information about these products or services you can withdraw your consent by contacting us; and

Electronic communications

From time to time, we may send you marketing materials via electronic communication such as email or text message. If you wish to withdraw your consent for us to do this, please contact us.

Disclosure of personal information to other parties

We will not disclose your personal information to third parties. However, SmartDentist may provide general consolidated information about the SmartDentist subscriber base.
